George Eustice Joins Re-Genus Ltd as Special Adviser to the Board, Championing Sustainable Farming Innovation

Re-Genus Limited, a UK agri-tech company committed to regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems, today (19 August 2025) announced the appointment of George Eustice as Special Adviser to its Board. The former Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs will bring extensive experience in agricultural policy and environmental stewardship to support Re-Genus’s mission to help farmers improve soil health and productivity across the UK and internationally.

George Eustice, who played a pivotal role in shaping the UK’s agricultural landscape during his time in government, has long advocated for sustainable land use, biodiversity, and soil health. His appointment reflects Re-Genus’s commitment to pairing science-led innovation with practical, policy-informed solutions for farmers and rural communities.

“We are honoured to welcome George to Re-Genus,” said Katie Critchlow, CEO of Re-Genus Limited. “His deep understanding of the sector and passion for regenerative farming will be invaluable as we scale our work. George’s insights will help ensure our approach is scientifically robust and grounded in the realities of farming life.”

Re-Genus is at the forefront of developing fungi-rich, nature-based crop nutrition that supports healthy soils and resilient crops. Our evidence-based programme, including on-farm validation such as soil diagnostics, crop rotation modelling, and carbon tracking, focuses on nutrient use efficiency, soil biology, and reduced environmental impact.

As Special Adviser, George will work with the Board and executive team on strategic direction, engagement with stakeholders across the agricultural and environmental sectors, and outreach to policymakers and farming communities.

George Eustice said, “Regenerative agriculture offers a pathway to a more resilient, nature-positive food system, and soil health is at the heart of that approach. I have followed Re-Genus’s progress in developing solutions that enhance soil biology, and I am looking forward to being involved in the future.”

Eustice’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Re-Genus as it grows its partnerships across the UK and Europe. His guidance will help navigate the evolving landscape of agricultural reform and environmental responsibility.

With a focus on restoring soil health, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing biodiversity, Re-Genus is demonstrating what is possible in modern farming. The addition of George Eustice to its advisory team strengthens its mission to help build a regenerative future for agriculture.
